The company is known for its robust operations and commitment to delivering excellence in its field.Job DescriptionThe Legal Counsel is responsible for:First in-house legal hire for the organization, developing the strategy for the legal and compliance function, growing the team and providing legal counsel to the c-suite, senior leadership team and asset management division.Provide legal guidance on CMBS transactions and contracts.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations within the banking and financial services sector.Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.Collaborate with internal teams to manage legal risks and resolve disputes.Monitor and implement changes in laws and regulations affecting the property industry.Advise on risk management strategies to protect the organization's interests.Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance and legal matters.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
