Job Description

  • Provide legal counsel on AI-related products and technologies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal and regulatory risks associated with AI initiatives.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to AI technologies, partnerships, and licensing.
  • Monitor and advise on emerging legal and regulatory developments in AI law and financial services.
  • Support the development and implementation of internal policies and practices related to AI governance.
  • Advise on intellectual property matters, including patents, copyrights, and trade secrets, as they relate to AI innovations.
  • Provide strategic guidance to stakeholders on AI compliance and risk management strategies.
  • Conduct training sessions on AI-related legal topics for internal teams.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel - AI should have:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • Active membership in the New York State Bar.
  • Extensive experience in product counseling, particularly in AI-related legal matters.
  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations impacting AI and financial services.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to provide strategic legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
