Job Description

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) sought to serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and help lead the next phase of growth across a private equity-backed multi-site manufacturing platform on New Hampshire's Seacoast. This role offers the opportunity to play a central role in scaling a business through operational discipline, improved financial rigor, and future acquisitions.

The CFO will have broad responsibility across finance, accounting, and business operations, with a strong emphasis on building a salable, KPI driven operating environment. The successful candidate will combine strong financial leadership with hands on operating judgment, deep manufacturing experience, and the ability to drive accountability across multiple sites and functional teams. Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Leading accounting, finance, FP&A, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, internal controls, and financial reporting across the platform
  • Partnering closely with the CEO and operating leaders to improve margins, inventory performance, procurement discipline, and return on invested capital
  • Using data and analytics to identify opportunities for margin expansion, process efficiency, and working capital improvement
  • Supporting plant level accountability and performance improvement across multiple locations
  • Building a scalable finance and operating infrastructure to support growth
  • Supporting acquisition diligence, integration planning, and post close execution for add on acquisitions
  • Standardizing reporting, controls, KPI frameworks, and management processes across acquired businesses
  • Partnering with leadership on capital allocation, strategic planning, and long-term value creation

The Successful Applicant

In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years relevant finance and accounting experience
  • Proven success as a CFO, VP of Finance, or senior finance leader in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong command of accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, internal controls, and KPI-based performance management.
  • Demonstrated success improving visibility into plant, customer, and product-line profitability in a manufacturing setting.
  • Multi-site manufacturing experience (ideal)
  • Meaningful experience partnering with operations, supply chain, inventory, procurement, and/or plant leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to work credibly with plant leaders and translate financial insight into operational action.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve reporting, process discipline, and decision support in a growing business.
  • Strong analytical capability combined with practical operating judgment.
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence.
  • High integrity, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Strong cost accounting and operations finance background.

What's on Offer

  • Base salary up to $250,000, depending on experience
  • Annual performance related bonus plan of between 20% and 40%
  • Additional equity component with a targeted value of $400,000 to $500,000 upon exit
