We are looking for a Country Sales Director - Iberia with a strong track record in B2B technical sales, capable of driving commercial growth, building market presence and leading sales operations across Spain and Portugal. This is a high-impact, hands-on role, with strong exposure to clients and direct reporting to European leadership.

The company is currently strengthening its presence in Southern Europe, with a clear ambition to grow and consolidate its commercial operations in Iberia (Spain & Portugal).

Job Description

* Define and execute the commercial strategy for Iberia, ensuring sustainable growth and market penetration.
* Build and strengthen the company's market presence across key industrial and infrastructure segments.
* Lead and develop the local sales organization, setting clear targets and driving performance.
* Act as a senior commercial lead, personally supporting:
o Strategic accounts
o Complex or high-value negotiations
o Critical commercial opportunities
* Identify new business opportunities through market analysis and customer engagement.
* Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
* Build long-term relationships with key clients, increasing customer retention and share of business.
* Oversee and support tender processes, including commercial positioning and risk assessment.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams (technical, operations, marketing) to ensure successful delivery.
* Drive discipline in pipeline management, forecasting and CRM usage.
* Ensure pricing consistency and margin protection.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience in international sales leadership roles within industrial or technical environments.
  • Strong background in cables and/or transformers (essential requirement).
    * Minimum 15 years of experience in B2B sales.
    * Background in sectors such as:
    o Industrial manufacturing
    o Infrastructure or energy-related solutions
    o Technical or engineered products/services
    * Demonstrated ability to close complex and high-value deals.
    * Experience managing and developing commercial teams.
    * Exposure to structured sales processes, including tender-driven environments.
    * Ability to operate effectively in international and matrix organizations.
    * Spanish and English required. Portuguese highly valued.
