Job Description

  • Lead the overall finance function, including accounting, controlling, treasury, tax, and risk management within CEE and Western Europe region, also leading legal team in a matrix model
  • Define and execute the Group's capital strategy, including equity, debt, and alternative financing structures
  • Manage relationships with banks, investors, and external financial partners
  • Lead project and corporate-level financing processes, including structuring and negotiations
  • Oversee group consolidation, statutory reporting, and IFRS compliance across jurisdictions
  • Develop and implement management reporting, KPIs, and financial dashboards
  • Support investment decisions through robust financial modelling, underwriting, and analysis
  • Act as a key member of executive leadership, participating in Board and Investment Committee discussions
  • Optimise liquidity, cash flow forecasting, and financial risk management (including FX and interest rate exposure)
  • Lead tax structuring and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions in collaboration with advisors
  • Establish and strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing, multi-country finance team
  • Drive implementation of financial systems, ERP, and planning tools

The Successful Applicant

  • Min. 12+ years of progressive experience in finance, including senior leadership roles (CFO, Head of Finance, or equivalent)
  • Degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; professional qualification (e.g. CFA, ACCA, CPA) preferred
  • Fluent English required; additional European languages are a plus
  • Strong experience in complex, multi-entity and multi-country environments
  • Proven track record in structuring and closing financing transactions (project and/or corporate level)
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and accounting in an international context
  • Strong financial modelling and investment analysis capabilities
  • Experience working with institutional investors, banks, and Board-level stakeholders
  • Understanding of tax and regulatory frameworks across European markets is an advantage
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution ability
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to operate at Board level
